Lonely Planet is the largest travel guide book and digital media publisher in the world. My primary role as a ColdFusion Developer was to design,develop and maintain all online media.

Achievements

• Designed and developed an application called Sophia for processing and tagging feedback for reporting to improve services and products.
• Designed and developed an application called The Media Vault. A Flash Video Streaming portal for the Australia, USA and England offices
• Designed, developed and supported the Lonely Planet online shop using ColdFusion for three distribution regions. Asia , Europe and America
• Developed and supported the Lonely Planet Travel Services section with external feeds from partners
• Designed and developed an online chat application for Authors of books to speak to the travel community

BAE Systems PLC is the world's largest defence contractor who produce military and commercial aircraft's. My primary role as a computer operator working in the aircraft maintenance department was to create electronic manuals for the construction and maintenance of aircraft's.

• Creation and quality control of data for manuals using bespoke applications for data conversions on UNIX and VAX operating systems
• Creation and quality control of manuals using SGML authoring and legacy data conversions
• 24 hour international support to Airline Maintenance Departments
